Hello All,

Last week, we released a major update for iAuditor, which changed some of the underlying architecture of the app. As a result, we have created some critical errors that are affecting some users with legacy templates from previous versions. The app is crashing when starting up or after a few minutes of use.

It is recommended that you DO NOT update your app to the latest version at this time.

We are working on resolving this now and will post a further update once we have more news.

If you have mission critical requirements and are unable to use iAuditor, please send us an email and our support team will assist further.

Thank you for your support and understanding as we work through this issue.

We now have a thread in our Knowledge Base that is being regularly updated with information, as well as recommendations. Please click here to view the topic.

Kind Regards,

Taylor Young

Hi Taylor

Silly me hit "update" before reading the "do not update" tag!

Can I revert to the older version or will it be easier to await the bug fix from you guys?

Cheers
Colin

Hi Colin,

Firstly, please do not delete the app, as deleting an app will also delete any associated app data.

Due to Apple's approval process, it could take up to 10 business days to have an update approved, and it is not possible to roll back to a previous version in the App Store. We are working on this right now, and we are gathering diagnostic information from a variety of devices to assist us.

If you have mission critical audits, then we can add you to our Test Flight developer program, but there are only a very limited number of seats available.

If there is anything else that I can assist with, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young

Hi All,

If there are any users that are having the app close unexpectedly, or if the app will not open correctly, then the attached PDF will get you back up and running in about 15 minutes. We are also expecting the 2.3.2 update to be released some time this week, subject to the Apple review process for app updates.

If anyone is still having issues, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young

I just bought an Ipad mini looking forward to advance my company to the 21st Century, I downloaded the new version (2.2.3 and now I cannot sign in to the safety cloud !! Is IOS 7 creating a problem as well?

My iphone still works, and I'm still running IOS 6.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for contacting us. There is currently an issue with iOS7 users not being able to use the SafetyCloud function within iAuditor correctly. This should now be resolved in 2.3.3, which is available from the App Store.

If there is anything else that I can assist with, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young

Hi

We're still experiencing issues with iAuditor persistently crashing, unfortunately I update the software as soon as any updates come through and hadn't read this message.

We are also still having issues with the camera function in that it shows a black screen when trying to take a photo, but does take the photo just not in focus. Is this an Apple issue or iAuditor.

Is there a way of combatting these issues as all devices have now been updated and synced.

Kind regards
Toni Proctor

Hi Toni,

I ran into some problems with the camera for the first time with this version of the app during an audit yesterday.  I figured out that when this happens, I can just press the button on the iPad to exit to the desktop and then re-open the app/audit to get the camera function.  This was a consistently functioning work-around for me.

Perhaps this same tactic will work for you?  Best wishes!

Ernie

Hello Toni and Ernie,

We've seen a few issues (including the camera issue raised) in the latest update. Our aim is to have an update submitted to Apple for approval in the next day or so and this will contain a number of stability improvements and interface tweaks.

Ernest, thank you for your suggestion. Yes, that should work for the issue that Toni is experiencing.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has brought to you. If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Haydee

Hello Edd,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. Are you receiving any error messages? If so could you please send a screenshot to us? When logging in to SafetyCloud via a web browser, are you receiving any errors immediately after opening SafetyCloud, or did they occur after a few clicks around the site? Are you able to use SafetyCloud now, or do you get errors on every page?

If I can be of further assistance, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Haydee
