Tried changing the “Audit Title” type in the header section from a “Text -Single Line” to a “Multiple Choice” type, but the Audit Title selected did not appear on the name of the audit that appears in the audit part of iAuditor. Eg came up as “No Audit Title”. It did however appear in the export pdf document.

They are special header fields and while you can delete or change them, that will effect the output of the report.
To put them back you need to go into the template editor then tap the sections button at the bottom and choose information.
Scroll the item list down to underneath smart fields, you'll see the items that you have deleted.

Is there any way to make the Header Item: Audit Title a Multiple Choice field, or must it be a Text field?

Hello Bill,

You can customise the audit title and make it a multiple choice item. On the information section, just delete the Audit Title text field and drag a Multiple Choice item then customise it according to your needs.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Haydee,
We are trying to create similar setup. Can these default fields be changed so I can still use them for the file naming when exporting? Or can we make our own fields come up in the export name?

Hi Darryl,

The default fields can be changed, however if you remove or replace the Audit Title field, then the audits will be saved as "No Audit Title", and will export without a name given to them. This is because the app will only source an audit name from the Audit Title field.

If you replace the Audit Title field with another Field, then whichever field is at the top of the Information Section will be placed first on your Title Page in the report.

If you need any more assistance, please let us know.

Kind Regards,
Taylor Young

Thanks Taylor for replying,

Im helping Darryl with this process.
Your previous comment is confusing. Can we change/edit the Audit Title? We would like it to be a drop down box so they just press and get the same information every time. Then when they export the audit, it will export the name of the audit automatically. We want to stream line and make it easy as possible for the company we are dealing with. Is that clear? So, to summarise, We need to name the files and add who did the audit, we want this to be as stream lined as possible so we would like to use Multiple Choice answers that are already preconfigured and when exported this information would be transferred into the File Name, making the Audit easy to find in the drop box.

Thank You.

Shannon

Hi Shannon and Darryl,

If you want the audit title to be pre-configured as a multiple choice, you can delete the Audit Title item in the Information section, then replace it with a Multiple Choice item. You can just pre-configure the options for this.

However, note that there is a side effect to this. When you do the audit and export it, the Audit Title will show in the Title Page but it will appear as "No Audit Title" in your Audit list on the app.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Hi is there no way to quick fix this as sometimes it can be a pain displaying no audit title in my audits.

A multiple choice would be good, for example whatever you put as line one is the title.

Surely you guys could fix this one overnight.

Ps. It's still a great app

Hello,

We understand your concern and I assure you our engineers are working to improve several app features.

We will work on making changes to the Information section including this in one of our future updates. If you have any other feature requests, you may add them to our Ideas Page.

Let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.

Sincerely,
Haydee

Hello Haydee,
Is it possible to provide a multiple choice question on the information page that is linked to a % designation in the attachment tokens area ? That would allow the users to create the file names by just utilizing the new % designation in the options tab and allowing the file name to be linked to the multiple choice question. Eg. the new multiple choice question would carry the  % q designation and we could choose to change the default %t - %c - %d  to  %q - %c - %d and get the custom file name we are looking to obtain.

Hi Ed,

Unfortunately at this point in time, user's can't define the fields where any of %(letter) fields are generated. We are looking in to options for future releases to give the template creator more options and flexibility on how their documents are named and saved.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Kind Regards,
