Subject: SIGDC annual meeting and solicitation for new chair

Hello SIGDCers,

IASSIST 2013 is just around the corner! We’d like to get the SIGDC group together at the conference. The preliminary agenda is to review our previous years activities, to set goals for the coming year, and to elect a new chair/co-chairs.

I would like to arrange a meeting time in Cologne and get a time agreed upon soon in order to figure out logistics with local arrangements. The two options that I see are Tuesday in-between the afternoon workshop and the welcome reception or Wednesday at lunch. For those of you traveling to Cologne, I’ve set up a Doodle poll to figure out the option most people think is best and would attend. If you have a third suggestion for a meeting time, please speak up.

Please fill out the poll at http://www.doodle.com/6viaivixxkawwxn7 by Friday, May 10.

If anyone is interested in carrying forward the SIGDC banner (so to speak), please contact Elizabeth Moss and I with your expression of interest. Two folks working together as co-chairs works great, so we would be happy to have multiple people speak up!

Also, if you have any agenda items for the meeting please let me know.

We look forward to seeing everyone! Hope you will be able to make it to our sponsored session as well---Session A-4: "(Proof of Concept) Data Citations: Linking Literature to Data and Measuring Impact" on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Sincerely,

Hailey Mooney

IASSIST SIGDC co-chair
