Our next meeting will be held on May 25th at Microsoft, 1290 Avenue of the Americas on the 6th floor. (Between 51st and 52nd streets next to Radio City Music Hall.) The meeting will be held at 6 PM in the Ambassador conference room.

Meeting Topic: IASA-NYC Future Direction
At this meeting we are seeking guidance from our members concerning our future direction.
IASA's Mission Statement:
IASA is the preeminent knowledge-based association focused on the IT architecture profession through the advancement of best practices and education while delivering programs and services to develop highly qualified IT architects of all levels. IASA will rely on the following objectives in order to obtain our goals:
- Education
- Knowledge
- Advocacy
- Ethics
- Values
Within IASA, typical chapter activities may include:
- Serve the community: promote the profession of IT Architecture in community organizations and publications
- Promote member interaction: encourage the exchange of ideas among members
- Provide training: on IT Architecture topics and the Common Body of Knowledge
- Provide leadership opportunities: for members to enhance their career
- Provide certification: for members to demonstrate their abilities
Within this general framework, what chapter activities and services would most benefit you as a professional IT or business architect? What meeting formats (speaker, discussion of current topics, panel, case studies, problem-solving, etc.) are most valuable to you? We will use your answers to this question to plan future meetings, workshops, etc.
If you cannot attend the meeting, we still want to hear from you! Please feel free to post your thoughts about our future direction.
