I am delighted to announce that the 13th Australian Studies international conference will be held on 13-14 January, 2026 at Astor Hotel conference rooms. The theme of the conference is: Place, Space and Cultural Geography: ReadingAustralia and India. It is organised in collaboration with the Centre for Studies in Australian Literature, Culture, Politics and Technology (CSALCPT) , Swami Vivekananda University, Australian Studies Institute, Australian National University, Australian Consulate General Kolkata, Australian Trade & Investment Commission, Bengaluru and Routledge. Please find attached the concept note of the conference. The 2nd phase of the conference will be held at CSALCPT, Swami Vivekananda University on 16-17 January, 2026. The theme of the conference is: Beyond Borders: Cultural Negotiations and Global Engagement in Australia and India
Please also note the announcement of IASA, Eastern Region Australian Travel Fellowship and send your proposal by the deadline mentioned therein. Please find attached the concept note of the conferences and the details of the Travel Fellowship.
A couple of Australian Professors have already confirmed their participation in the conference. We received confirmation of participation from as many as five renowned Australian Professors The conference will be inaugurated by the Deputy Consul General, Kolkata.
Please don't forget to send your abstracts by the deadline.
Please also note that we have finalised our agreement with a publisher from the UK. Please send your papers immediately and remember to follow the Chicago Guidelines. If the Guidelines are not properly followed, the papers will not be accepted. We don't have adequate editorial staff to reformat the papers. Please remember the deadline for sending the papers is: 30 August, 2025.
