Dear Colleagues,

We have been working on Australian Studies since 1994. We had been largely supported by AIC Australian Studies Fellowship for a long time. But as it is now temporarily withdrawn, we are planning to organise a Fellowship with the support of our benevolent Australian fiends and this Fellowship programme is envisaged to continue for 5 years.

This is the first informal announcement of the IASA, Eastern Region Fellowship . IASA, Eastern Region is providing a travel fellowship to enable improved understanding and access to research materials for Indian doctoral candidates working in Australian studies. This support will be an important means of sustaining interest in Indian studies on Australia, solving the problem of lack of access to study materials, and of promoting ongoing research collaborations.

A formal announcement of this Fellowship will be made shortly. Please note that the applicant for this Fellowship SHOULD BE a member of IASA, Eastern Region.

All the best,

Deb Narayan Bandyopadhyay
