Dear All,
Perhaps after the conference in February and a vibrant follow-up at SVU as well as masterclasses taken by Bill Ashcroft through a whole week, you might have imagined the Executive Core Committee (IASA, ER) to be exhausted and sleeping. But we have always been thinking through the next procedures. Although we continue to work all the time, we are no dull boys, mate.
Now we should embark on publication of our proceedings. We have had meaningful liaison with one or two publishers from UK. We therefore request you to send your complete papers by 20th May, 2024. Also note that it should follow Chicago Stylesheet. Papers should not be less than 5000 words. Please send your papers by email to Dr Jatisankar Mondal: jat...@gmail.com
In matters of writing your papers, you might need the support of research materials. Well, we have now access to AUSTLIT. Feel free to contact us and place your request to anyone of the Executive Core Committee. They will be more than happy to help you.
You will be also glad to know that Dipanwita, one of our very innovative Australianists, is going to start for working in Australian universities in May, 2024. As recipient of IASA, ER TRAVEL AWARD, she will visit a couple of universities in Australia. She will work on Australian Aborigine Ecosophy in the context of neo-capitalism and sustainability. We wish her well.
Regarding the next conference in 2025, let us inform you that the major thrust area will be "Travel and Migration": details will be passed on to you in due course.
In the meantime, we are upgrading our IASA, ER website. As the process is ready, we shall inform you of its status. We are planning to create a tab My Queries , My Events in order to enable the creation of digital contact with all of you.
I hope you you liked the Newsletter that we circulated during the conference. We are planning for the next. So if you have anything to mention relevant to Australian Studies, please let us know.
