You will be glad to know that IASA, Eastern Region is going to hold its 6th
international conference on "Transnational Migratory Spaces:
Cultural Exchange between Australia and India" in Calcutta on 9-10
February, 2018 in collaboration with University of Wollongong, SAGE,
Routledge and Bankura University.
Professor Raelene Frances and Professor Paul Sharrad will give the
keynote addresses.
One of the major highlights of the conference is that a travel
fellowship will be announced for the researchers working on Australian Studies.
This will help the aspiring young scholars to look for academic opportunities.
Moreover, a workshop will be organised at Bankura University and it will
address the following issues:

What are the criteria for applications for
funding?
v
What increases the possibility of a successful
application?
v
What are the emerging areas of research
encouraged by the universities in Australia?
v
How to link the application for Endeavour
Awards with admission to Australian universities (M. A .and PhD)?
v
What are the scholarships available in Australian
universities: for instance, Vice Chancellor's Scholarships or Dean’s
scholarships etc?
v How to address issues of collaborative engagement?
There will be Round Tables for discussing research collaborations and postdoctoral appointments.
