New Presentation Slides

I have posted the slides for Scott Davis's August 17th presentation on "Resource-Oriented Architecture (ROA) and REST" on IASA Denver's SlideShare site.

Volunteer Lunch - Noon Tomorrow

Don't forget! Tomorrow is our volunteer lunch at noon at the Damascus Restaurant (2276 S Colorado Blvd, Denver) for members interested in getting more involved with the chapter. We will discuss volunteer and leadership opportunities. See the Volunteer page on the chapter website for ideas in different areas to get involved.

November 16th - Combined Open Event with Agile Denver!

Our next chapter event on November 16th will be a combined open event with Agile Denver. We will be kicking off the evening at 5pm with an open discussion on emergent architecture and a fully-catered dinner from the Szechuan Chinese RestaurantRSVP to eve...@iasadenver.org no later than Friday November 13th so we can properly estimate our catering.

At 6pm we have Zach Nies, VP of Products for Rally Software, presenting on Building Feedback Loops into your Architecture followed by George Fairbanks, president of Rhino Research, speaking on Risk-Centric Software Architecture

This is a great opportunity for the agile and software architecture communities in Denver to get to know each other better and learn from each other, so let's make each other welcome!

Attendance for the event is now free for IASA Denver membersSee www.iasadenver.org for more details. We have yet to book a venue, but it seems likely that we will use the PPA Event Center downtown, which will lead us to choosing a different location for drinks afterwards.

December 7th Banquet

On December 7th will be running our inaugural chapter members gala banquet in the Dolcetto room at Maggiano's DTC. The banquet will also allow us to celebrate our first two years as a chapter! For those unfamiliar with Maggiano's, the meal will be family-style, and will include two complementary drink tickets for each attendee and an open cash bar for later in the evening.

We can now confirm that Neal Ford will be our guest speaker for the banquet!

A portion of the funds raised will be allocated to a local Denver charity. Companies interested in sponsoring the event should email me and I will send out a sponsorship packet. Tickets will go on sale soon, and will be $40 for members and $65 for non-members. This will be an awesome event!

Paul.
