Dear USFP Graduate Students and Elliott School Student Organizations,

See below for a message from the School Without Walls.  They are in need of judges for their seniors’ final projects and your expertise in US foreign policy would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Jenine....@dc.gov if you are interested.

Best,

Justin

My name is Jenine Pokorak and I am the Senior Project Coordinator at the School Without Walls. Our school is one of the finest in the Metropolitan area.  At the School Without Walls, we believe that experiential learning is the most effective medium for student growth.  One way that we fulfill this mission is by requiring members of our senior class to complete a Senior Project.

As the final assignment for Senior Project, students are required to present their research for the year in front of a panel of judges.  This year several of our students completed projects on issues within the larger topic of US Foreign Policy.  I am writing to request volunteers from your program who might consider volunteering as judges for our panels.  I have attached a letter of request, along with an information packet for judges, to this email.   It is my hope that this email can be forwarded throughout your program to potentially interested faculty and graduate students.

The presentations will occur on Friday, April 26th.  Those interested individuals would need to be available from 12:00 noon until 4:30 PM on Friday, April 26.  Lunch will be provided from 12 noon- 1PM, during which time we will review expectations, instructions, and panel assignments.

If you have any questions, need further information, or would like to volunteer, please contact me at 202/645-9690 or via e-mail Jenine....@dc.gov.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Jenine Pokorak
