Dear all,

The event with Secretary LaHood is finally upon us. Capacity is filling up and we are expecting a full house. Also, it is being speculated by the media that President Obama is set to announce his pick to succeed Secretary LaHood tomorrow, which will undoubtedly draw some media attention to our event.

I am requesting that everyone, with the exception of Roddy and Jared who have spoken to me about their class conflicts, please arrive to ESIA at 6:00pm, in western business attire, and head directly to the State Room.

Here is a breakdown of the schedule and E-Board assignments for the event:

4:30pm Chris pick up key for room 505
5:30pm Gordon, Manuela, Chris, and Rosa arrive to ESIA to greet Security detail and Secretary LaHood's assistant
6:00pm Rest of E-Board arrive to ESIA and head directly to the State Room on the 7th floor
6:10pm Kalli, Makena, Ross, and Amy setup for check-in on the 7th floor lobby - layout reserved seating for 10
6:10pm Everyone else please head down to 505 to setup the room for the brief pre-reception and photo opportunity (clear chairs from main space)
6:15pm Check-in begins, doors open for the State Room
6:20pm Provost Lerman + Professor Henry Hertzfeld arrive to ESIA - to be met by Gordon, Manuela, Chris, and Rosa
6:30pm Secretary LaHood arrives to ESIA - to be met by Gordon, Manuela, Professor Hertzfeld and Provost Lerman
6:35pm Pre-recpetion begins - Kalli, Makena, Ross, and Amy head down to 505 for quick group photo
6:45pm E-Board proceed upstairs, stand in place unless extra seats are available
6:50pm Gordon introduces Provost Lerman, Provost Lerman introduces Secretary LaHood
6:55pm Secretary LaHood begins speech
7:10pm-7:15pm Secretary LaHood speech ends
7:15pm Gordon introduces Professor Hertzfeld for Q&A session
7:30pm Event ends, Secretary LaHood leaves
7:35pm Cleanup
7:45pm Departure from the State Room

PLEASE BE PREPARED TO ASK QUESTIONS IF THE AUDIENCE IS NOT DOING SO!

I think that pretty much covers everything… If you have any questions as to logistical issues, etc. please let me know.

IT'S GO TIME!

Best,

Gordon

Hey just letting you know, my class ends at 6. So I will leave from class and go straight to 505. I should be there at 6:10.

Hey I unfortunately have a final during that time today so I won't be able to make it. Good luck! I'm sure it'll be great. Feel better, Avani.
