Assalamo Alykum Brothers,
Due to the unavailability of the outdoor soccer fields, we are unable to conduct this soccer tourney at this time. We hope, insha Allah, that we will sometime during this summer of 2008.
Public park fields are actually available but they can not be reserved. Their usage is based on First-Come-First-Served. And we can not have our tourney be based on this uncertain availabilities of the fields each week.
Many thanks to those of you who have replied with their genuine interest to be a part of this tourney and to those who were willing to volunteer.
However, the open discussion "forum" (via this email) will remain open for your valuable suggestions, comments and concerns for the future soccer tournaments. Also, please remember that the IAR Sports and Recreation Committee welcomes your suggestions and ideas about other sports and recreational activities that benefit our community.
