Hope all is well with you.

I got your message and I understand. I myself was expecting to go but I had guess from Paris that night.

We had the meeting that Saturday. Some say that things are going well others say that more dedicated volunteers are needed and I wanted to get to know the types of shortcomings that this league experiences so we can have a better one next year. Unfortunately, most of the discussion was about referees. They wanted to have paid referees. I mentioned to them your arithmetic that you have done before the start of the league and concluded that each player will have to pay 68 dollars if paid referees are hired. They suggested referees that can accept minimal fees, like 10 bucks. I informed them that can be done but not through the SRC. Otherwise, you and I will have to get involved in the payroll mess which I am sure you wouldn't want that.

I have also asked about the rewards that the first and second and maybe the third would expect. I noticed that they are very different then the soccer players. Instead of trophies, medals, T-shirts with the logo on them, they would rather have a plaque with the finalist names written on it or something similar. So, I will leave that up to you.

As for the scoreboard, we really need to do something about it. The remote is broken and malfunctions for most of the time. Today after Maghreb, I found it laying right outside the cage in the gym. I took it to my car so I can try to fix it but I got too busy with the kids and I forgot that I still had it in the car. Is it still under warranty? I think, once fixed, we should fix it against the gray table. What do you think?
