Assalamo Alykum,
Please the following and respond accordingly:
Info about the tourney:
We have 3 full committed teams so far. We have one team committed but its roster is not complete so more players are needed. That's 4 teams. Please note that teams are responsible for providing their own team jerseys. The tournament will consists of two rounds.
First round:
Teams will play each other for 3 consecutive weeks. These are scheduled to be on Saturdays (Jan 26, Feb 2, 9), one game at 1:00PM and the other at 3:00PM.
After the first round, and based on the standard FIFA point system, teams will be ranked as first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd) and fourth (4th).
Second Round:
On Saturday Feb 16, the 3rd team plays the 4th for the final 3rd place at 1:00PM.
The first team will play vs. the second team for the championship at 3:00PM.
After that, most players will have a one week brake before they start their TASL season.
How to register:
So you know, the last day to register for this upcoming tournament is this coming Monday January 21 2007. Your prompt response is needed before this date. Otherwise, the tournament will be canceled due to lack of interest. What I have received so far is all verbal commitments. We need more than that. Here what you need/must do in order to play:
You can reply to this email and let me know if you will be a part of this tourney if you are:
1) a captain/manager/coach of your team, (include your name, number, email address, your team name and how many players you have in the roster)
2) an individual player that does not have a team and wish to be assigned to a team, (include your name, email address, phone number, your age and skill level (from 1 to 10) 10 if you are Maradona)
If you are a player of a team, make sure you bug your captain and have him reply to this email ASAP.
Stay tuned for more info on the field location and the team/player registration fees.
