O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may (learn) self-restraint.
(Al-Baqarah, Verse 183)
Ramadan has arrived, Alhamdulillah! The blessed month when we fast, increase our worship, give in charity and seek the forgiveness of our Lord. Fasting is an act of worship where from sunrise to sunset, we abstain from food, drink and sexual relations.
We quell our desires and needs and are in a perpetual state of worship, remembering God, praising Him and fasting for His Pleasure. The nights of Ramadan are also peaceful and full of prayer. This month is when the Qur’an was revealed and so many try and complete
a full reading of it. Thank you for coming with us on this journey this Ramadan and we hope our daily reminders bring blessings into your life.
