Daily iftar donation

Dear Community Members:  

 "   Al-salam alikum Warahmtuallaha wabarakatu"

 

As most of you know,  the IAR conducts nightly Iftars , during Ramadan, for the Needy, Travelers and Singles in our community.  Insha'Allah, this year, the nightly Iftars will continue under the supervision and sponsorship of the Social & Welfare Committee at the IAR. 

We are reaching out to you for financial support to help fund these Iftars.  Please make checks payable to Islamic Association of Raleigh and in the memo section write " Note Fund 24 " . We have provided categories below that you may want to participate in, however any amount is helpful.

• Sponsor   1 day  Iftar  at  the IAR:                    $1000
• Sponsor an Iftar for 60 needy people:               $500
• Sponsor an Iftar for 30 needy people:               $250
• Sponsor an Iftar for 12 needy people:               $100 
• Other contribution:                                            $____

عن زيد بن خالد الجهني قال : قال صلى الله عليه وسلم : « مَن فطَّر صائماً كان له مثل أجره غير أنه لا ينقص من أجر الصائم شيء » .

Translation: Offering food in Ramadan has extra virtue due to the nobility of the time and the need that the fasting people have for food.  The Prophet (sal-Allaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of his reward (i.e. the one fasting), so preparing food in this month for the needy is from the best of actions because (the reward for giving) charity in the month of Ramadan is multiplied more than in the other months.”
