I hope you will take the opportunity to read this message all the way through. I am a member of a non-profit organization in Raleigh called PALESTINE UNITED and every year we host a fundraiser to raise money to send to Gaza and other parts of Palestine through the Jerusalem Fund.

This year, I pushed hard to incorporate the theme of Revolution to the other board members and to also send a percentage of what we make to Tunis and Egypt.

We anticipate around 500 people to attend and to raise more than 60,000 dollars. [Last year, we raised 40,000 and this year inshaAllah it will be bigger and better]

I can not think of a better cause than this to help out with and I would be very very happy as a Tunisian-Egyptian to see the presence of Tunisians and Egyptians in this community trying to make a difference.

I have been a part of Raleigh's political and social community for 11 years and it shames me that no other Tunisians, specifically, help out in any way to better the community in which they live. Now is a great time to benefit your nation, your country, and your heritage.

I will attach the flyer with all the information. Location, time, date, and ticket prices.

In terms of kids- there is a babysitting room with babysitters available with food, drinks, games, and movies- and kids ticket prices are 25 dollars. After the speakers and the auction are over the kids may come into the ballroom to enjoy the party [We are bringing a famous Palestinian singer Ameer Dandan for the after party]

I have been a part of the planning committee for this event for the three years they have been in action and I personally feel much relief and satisfaction to see Arabs helping out those who are suffering more than we can image, overseas.

Brief overview of how the night will go:

Event begins at 6 pm, if you would like to reserve a table of 10 seats to ensure you are sitting with your friends please tell me asap. The event is this Saturday May 7th (I apologize for the late notice- I have been hiding under books trying to finish exams so I can graduate :p) We will have guest speakers, an auction, and performances throughout the evening as well.
