Hi folks,

I don't know who saw the responses to the previous questionnaire. But here they are all listed. Interesting to see that onlne payment facilities featured pretty low in the responses. As did Study Community Communications - but that's maybe because I meant to write 'Study Committee' . What is apparent is that Peer Group Communications, Video Conferencing, and Recording Facilities all scored the highest in terms of overal responses. You can also see what people wrote.

Below are 8 responses to the Question What would your ideal school site be?

Can you make a short statement about what your school would wish from a learning platform.

ANZPOP Training faculty main purpose would be resource sharing, online library collaborations, networking, forums video conferencing and facility for on line teaching facility School of Process Oriented Psychology and Psychotherapy,

Poland Hi Mark, thanks for creating this. In the moment learning platform will be used mainly for sharing docs, video conferences, sharing calendar and other things which I marked later in the future may be also for online classes. We are considered about privacy and safety of the environment. Me personally I use google and its functions a lot, but some people are really considered about google and do not like it. They would prefer something smaller and more private. hope this is helpful. love, Boris

Myself - My school would be a wide range of professionals studying PW and Child and Family work. They would need a good range of learning materials specific to working with children, with some links to other paradigms and contemporary appraoches to parenting, attachment, trauma, as well as playful and creative ways of working. I would want the possibility of live teaching events probably through something like Google Hangout with 15 or 20 people capacity. It would be good to be able to record things. It would be important to have ways of sending and receiving assignments. It would also be great to have a way of meeting as school groups which felt personal enough to get to know one another. Also maybe way s of recording classes for later viewing.

HI , thanks for this information gathering, Mark. OUr school is growing, but what we know already is that we need a simple , user friendly way for students to have access to: information/documents; chat line with both fellow students and trainers; a way to "have a live class" hopefully with better reception than Skype, which is what we have been using.(its too unreliable to really be sufficient).

email/messaging not listed but a given a IAPOP mega umbrella ... email addresses using @iapop.com (or similar) a Faculty communications structure within the platform sharing of resources e.g. video recordings, audio recordings, articles interest forums and discussions on chosen topics research collaborations, networking

Thanks for the questions; I just know I am new to this way of teaching and learning and these are the needs I see now, they may change in the future. Love Bogna

for the online class, be able to see each other, or put a picture up of each participant, take a poll, text chat, whiteboard, be able to see the same video, show a power point presentation or participants show a presentation, also to audio record the online class to save for someone to listen to later forums for discussions, wiki creation capabilities, record keeping, gradebook Possibly one payment method for the entire school. Maybe good to include in fees any additional session work etc.. Maybe it would be useful to have a marketplace of processworkers with session available slots and pricings throughout the world at any time?

Yes, all of the above is important. and to have a system which co-ordinates all these possibilities in a relatively easy user friendly style so students CAN manage to follow the correct pathways with minimal training is important. thanks Yelena on behalf of Pathways Psychology Institute (Australia)

Also a reminder that the final Google Hangout of the 3 we set up is on the 31st May at 8pm GMT. Wheew thanks for everyone who has attended these. And big thanks to Alan for his facilitation during the early hours of Aussie morning (3am).

This will be the last of 3 google hangouts for developing online collaboration and learning platform. So do come along and get involved if you can.

Further work will take place with focussed work groups. ANZPOP will be developing an online education resource over coming months, and you can come and participate in that development if you are interested. Thanks for all the interest and support during these meetings.

Mark
