Google Hangout for using Google Calendars within IAPOP.com and connecting them to your school etc

Dear all,

This Friday at 10pm GMT I am offering a Google Hangout within the IAPOP.com platform.  That's important to note as it means you would need to activate your google account and setup Google + profile in order to join. You should have one setup for you. Login on a Google page yourfirstname...@iapop.com and then use password 'processwork1'. If you can get into your account you are within the Google Apps for Education setup for IAPOP.com. It doesnt' look that much different from a gmail account, until you get under the bonnet!

So this is an invitation to join the hangout. Usually we spend the first 10 minutes arriving on the virtual porch, and saying things like 'can you hear me?'. 'Your microphone is on mute.. press the red button at the top of your screen'. 'We are getting feedback from you ** can you switch your microphone off when you are not speaking? Thanks' (Unlike in CR Processwork we generally don't like 'feedback' within a hangout ;)    )

So even if you just want to experiment getting together with us on Friday 10pm GMT then please do come. You can watch and learn, participate. I recommend anticipating a few problems getting in, but once you become familiar it gets easier.  The most important thing is try and logon hours before and make sure you get your profile setup. You have to give some information about yourself, don't lie about your date of birth and say you are 13 as you will be suspended :)

I don't think you can join the hangout from outside of IAPOP apps. But you can try if you would like to.
