Dear colleagues,
At yesterday's meeting a collaboration between Alan Richardson/ANZPOP and Mark O'Connell to develop a prototype Google site was agreed. The idea would be to develop a site that is highly accessible to faculty and students, and which gives opportunities for a progressive learning approach borrowing from developments in learning theory and innovative use of modern internet technologies.
This collaboration will take place under this subject heading on this string so that you are able to follow developments. This will be an opportunity for you to learn about using and developing Google Sites and to follow the thinking around learning approaches and online learning.
Please invite yourself to any hangouts we mention during the collaboration. We will leave this to your initiative to get involved. You are welcome, and we would ask you to be responsible for your involvement and keeping yourself up to date with developments. Meetings will be run as a collaborative development approach and not as a teaching process. But it may serve the opportunity of becoming highly familiar with the skills and possibiliites inherent within Google Apps for Education and around progressive learning approaches.
We look forward to the creative process that lies ahead.
Mark
