hi everyone,

Something has just come up which was accidental but I am glad it came up at this point. Basically i inadvertently switched off the 5 or 6 main email @iapop.com which are important emails for the IAPOP team. This happened because I setup the Google Apps for Education setup. I have remedied this for the short term, but having talked with Stan it seems that the best thing would be to not use *.*@iapop.com as the account names and domain name.

So I am beginning to research other possibilities regarding domain names. We can easily link domain names into the Google Apps account that we presently have and work with those.

It is probably good to get this sorted now whether or not schools go onto using Google Apps for Education or not, as this is something that would be harder to change later when everyone is signed up for accounts.

At present we already have 45 google apps accounts. I will have to export these and rename them, then import them and invite everyone back in through a different account name :(
Such is life.

My question is what would a good domain name be? Other than iapop.com
We may already have access to domain names like processwork.org etc..
But maybe something like PWOLC - or PWOL processwork online learning / community??

Let me know if you have any thoughts on this.

For now I will soon have to freeze all the accounts that are setup for iapop.com, as there is no point going much further with them beyond the next week or two.

HI Mark,
I appreciate so much all the work (and now this!) that you're putting into this project!!
I prefer domain names that have at least a recognisable word in them. IAPOP already has to be explained to newcomers, so I'd like one of the names you suggest below - all good, perhaps the pw-school.com is the most recognisable as to its meaning, however 721training;schools; international also have meaning in their name which I find useful in a name.

Perhaps we should do one of those survey monkey votes where folks could easily vote for whichever of these and the earlier ones you suggest they like, and allow you to take the next steps? Looking forward to hearing what others think?

Hi Mark and everyone,

I would suggest we hold to IAPOP and recommend IAPOPtraining as this does represent the access has come through the IAPOP non profit status in the US, second it is the umbrella body for pw/pop internationally and the co-ordination of this is being sponsored by IAPOP.

IAPOPtraining ?????

love
Alan

the difficulty with this might be that it implies that iapop itself is doing training rather than its members??
