Invitation to Apply for Bursaries – the 10th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), 1 and 2 October 2025, Sunmed Convention Centre, Sunway Medical Centre, Bandar Sunway, Selangor

Dear IAPMD Members,

We are pleased to announce that bursaries of RM1000 are available for trainees and young pathologists who are IAPMD members to attend the 10th Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), which will be held on 1 and 2 October 2025 in Bandar Sunway, Selangor. This initiative aims to support the professional development of our members, particularly those early in their careers.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be members of the IAPMD.
  • Applicants must be 40 years old or younger at the time of application. However, those above the age limit may still apply, and the submission will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Applicants must have received abstract acceptance from the 10th ASM Scientific Committee.

Application Requirements:

To apply, please submit the following documents to the Vice President of IAPMD, Prof Dr Effat Omar, at ef...@uitm.edu.my

  1. Cover letter: Briefly explain why you are applying for the bursary.
  2. Curriculum Vitae: Include your age, complete address, email address, and current career status.
  3. Referees: Names, complete addresses, and email addresses of two referees who can support your application.
  4. Abstract Details: Provide the Abstract ID and title of the abstract you submitted for the 10th ASM.

Deadline for Submission:

The deadline for applications is 15th August 2025.

Please note that this bursary requires an abstract approved by the ASM Scientific Committee. After completing the selection process, successful applicants will be notified no later than 12 September 2025.
