Secretary's Letter

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to thank you all for your continued support of the International Academy of Pathology and for the many ways you contribute to our shared mission. As we look ahead, I hope many of you are planning to join us for the upcoming IAP Congress in Fukuoka, Japan. This Congress is always a highlight for our Academy—bringing together excellent science, meaningful education, and the chance to reconnect with friends and colleagues from around the world in a truly enjoyable social setting.

I am especially pleased to highlight the announcement of bursary support for junior pathologists from underserved countries, helping them attend this important educational event. Supporting the next generation of pathologists is central to our mission, and I warmly invite our IAP Divisions to consider contributing to this bursary fund to help make participation possible for as many young colleagues as we can.

I also encourage you to take a moment to visit our newly refreshed IAP website, which has recently undergone a facelift. We would very much appreciate your feedback, ideas for future events, and updates on your divisional activities—your input helps keep the Academy dynamic, inclusive, and responsive to our members’ needs.

I look forward to seeing many of you in Fukuoka and to continuing our work together in the months ahead.

With warm regards,

Ghazi Zaatari, MD

Secretary, International Academy of Pathology
