I was just reading in Luke 24 where Jesus appeared to the two
disciples - about which we know virtually nothing other than that one
of them was named Cleopas - and it occurred to me that it was rather
strange that Luke included this account rather than that of Peter's
experience, which is mentioned only in passing in verse 34.
Why did luke choose the account of the Emmaus Road appearance over
Peter's experience?
