Upcoming Board Election/2020-2021

Dear IAMC Community

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

 

Please note the following important information for the Masjid Board Elections 2020-2021

  

1.     Masjid Board nominations are now open. All nominations are due by Friday, December 01, 2019 by 5:00 PM. Nomination form is attached with this notice.

2.     FOUR board positions are open.

3.       Early voting will also be held on:

a.       Friday, December 13, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM (after Jumu'ah prayer)

b.      Saturday, December 14, 2019 between Maghrib and Isha Prayers

4.     General Election will be held on:

Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

5.     Candidates who accept the nomination should submit a one-page manifesto and a photograph to EC by December 09, 2019 by 9:00 PM. It should highlight their ambitions for IAMC and its community as a board member. This Information will be posted on Masjid Bulletin Board for the duration of elections.

 

Election Rules

1.      Voting Members must be in good standing for 2019 IAMC Membership (Donation or membership due must be paid before June 30^th 2019)

2.      Elections will be based on final membership list posted by the IAMC treasurer at the masjid. Those who are not on the membership list will not be eligible to vote.

3.      There will be NO Proxy Voting – members MUST be present to vote.

4.      Final list of candidates will be published by Tuesday December 08, 2019 by 7:00 PM.

5.      Elections results will be posted at the masjid bulletin board as well as emailed to the members by 7:00 PM on Sunday, December 15^th.

6.      Voting results will be final. The number of votes for each candidate will be disclosed.
