Upcoming Board Elections - Final Nomiation List

Dear IAMC Members:

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

 

Thirteen nominations were received for IAMC Board Elections 2020/2021. Based on the qualifying criteria, following 6 nominees have been found eligible and have accepted the nomination as candidates for the 4 board positions:

·          Mohsin Shah

·          Zahid Rao

·          Mushtaq Ali

·          Mahmood Gaffar

·          Javed Chowdhry

·          Zafar Ahmad

 

Just a reminder on the remaining process:

1.        IAMC board has scheduled a Meet and Greet with candidates on Friday, December 6^th between Maghrib and Isha at Colleyville Masjid. Please make every attempt to attend.

2.        Early voting is on Friday, December 13^th from 2:00 pm to 3:00 PM (after Jumu'ah prayer) as well as on Saturday, December 14^th between Maghrib and Isha prayers.

3.        General voting will be on Sunday, December 15^th 2019 from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.

4.        Final results of the voting will be announced after Maghrib on Sunday December 15^th 2019.

 

Candidates:

 

1.      Please attend the Meet and Greet on Friday, December 6^th between Maghrib and Isha at Colleyville Masjid.

2.     Submit a one-page manifesto along with a photograph by Thursday, December 9^th, 2019 by 9:00 PM. It should highlight your bio, any past community service experience, your aspiration and the positive changes you’d like to bring to the masjid as a board member. This Information will be posted on the Masjid Bulletin Board ONLY for the duration of 3 election days.

 

Note:  Manifesto is NOT a requirement for contesting, however it’s highly recommended as it will provide the voting members the opportunity to know the candidates and put a face to their name.
