Alain Paquette (UQAM) and Carly Ziter (Concordia) are recruiting a PhD student interested in trees, green infrastructure, and ambient temperature in public spaces. This position involves sensor-based monitoring, and is ideal for a candidate interested in the intersection of technology, ecology, and spatial analysis. The selected candidate will contribute to an interdisciplinary urban forestry project led by an expert team of researchers from different universities, and partners from municipalities, private companies, and non-profits, thus broadening their professional network. This position is based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and involves french-speaking partner organizations - ideally, candidates will have some knowledge of french, or a strong desire and willingness to learn (with resources and support provided).
