This presentation provides an overview of the scientific research from a large volume of rigorous studies published since 2004 and explores the relationship between the design of healthcare environments and patient and staff outcomes. The subject matter is based on a white paper that was produced as part of a grant funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Join us as presenters share insights on the strength of evidence for particular environmental components, as well as identifying gaps in the evidence base that call for additional research efforts.
