Position Summary
The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for providing project management for the Georgia team of the EPA Region 4 Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (Region 4 TCTAC) housed at RTI International, with UGA as the sub-awardee. The PM will be responsible for outreach to community members and groups in need of technical assistance across the state; coordinating meetings between multiple parties across the state; facilitating training in various locations and remotely; organizing and participating in community activities across the state; compiling, responding and reporting on inquiries regarding technical support; and assisting in the preparation of educational, training and outreach materials.
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 annually

Responsibilities
In this role, the candidate’s responsibilities consist of providing project management and coordination for the initiatives, activities, and deliverables of the GA Team of the Region 4 TCTAC. Main duties are listed below and detailed within the online application:
1. Training development and facilitation
2. Inquiries, outreach and communication
3. Reporting internally as well as to the funding agency
4. Resource identification and organization
Qualifications
Education requires at least a 4-year college degree in the field or a high school diploma with at least four years of experience in the field (see explanation below). A combination of college credits with experience will also be considered. Please contact the Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). This type of work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experiences, including volunteer experience.
Candidates should have project management and/or program coordination experience in a community environment; ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with university personnel, state and federal agencies, and private organizations; ability to lead and work as a team member with all project partners and staff; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. ; ability to work independently and with multiple partners and stakeholders in a deadline-oriented environment; proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to utilize platforms for communication and reporting; exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks; flexibility in working in diverse settings including virtual environments, in-person with local community groups, and on-campus; and experience assigning tasks and monitoring progress to meet project needs and deadlines.
Candidates with experience working directly with communities, writing non-profit or academic grants, and familiarity with environmental topics are preferred.
