INQUA 2015 Nagoya: Additional call for posters

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of XIX INQUA 2015 is calling additional posters. The submission of abstracts is due May 11, 2015, and the conference will be held on July 26 to August 1, 2015, in Nagoya, Japan. The LOC also provides some important information on the conference. Please read the following message for the detail.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to communicate some good news regarding the forthcoming
INQUA Congress in Nagoya.

1)    Call for poster presentation renewed.
The LOC has decided to renew its call for poster presentations. We
have received many inquiries on late submission following the closure
of abstract submission. We have therefore decided to accept new
submissions for poster presentations from 20 April to 11 May 2015
through the web site. We will accept only one poster abstract
submission per delegate in this case. Please forward this information
to your colleagues or communities. Please note that there is a general
rule that one person (ID) can have two presentations maximum.

2)    Session schedule and program
The daily schedule of all sessions is now available at the Congress
web site. The presentation style and date/time for all accepted
abstracts will be communicated to all in late April.

3)    Congress dinner tickets available
Congress dinner tickets were fully booked by early March. The LOC has
prepared additional seats. If you missed out in early March, please book your ticket now
through the Congress website. Tickets will be issued on a first come,
first served basis.

4)    The deadline for pre- and post-congress excursions is fast approaching.
The registration of pre- and post-congress excursions will be closed
on 23:59 15 April, UTC. Please do not miss this opportunity to visit
landscapes, outcrops, and human activities in the Quaternary in Japan,
Korea and Taiwan. The deadline for mid-congress excursions is 31 May
2015. Please note that some of the courses might be cancelled without
a sufficient number of participants.

5)    Exhibition Booth
Exhibition booths are available for companies, organizations and
projects, as well as for advertisement and sponsorships. If you are
interested in having an exhibition booth, please visit the Congress
web site.

6)    Business meetings
The LOC will prepare rooms for the business meetings of the
Commissions, their IFGs (International Focus Groups), and other
research groups. Available rooms and time will be shown on the
Congress website soon. You can request a room for relevant sessions
(all session schedules are shown on the web site). If you have any

7)    Childcare
The registration for childcare will commence in May. Thank you for your patience.

8)    Icebreaker and registration
The Congress is announced from 27 July to 2 August 2015. However,
registration will start on the afternoon of 26 July, followed by an
icebreaker in the evening.  We recommend that you pick up your budge
and join the icebreaker at the congress venue on 26 July 2015.
