First of all, we wish everybody a very happy new year from the International Astronautical Federation. 2010 will be a busy year for us.
This year we are repeating our Youth Grants Programme which last year brought ten young people to the IAC in Daejeon, Korea.
This initiative actively engages, inspires and supports the next generation of students and young professionals to prepare them to be the future leaders of the international space community.
The IAC 2010 Youth Grants Programme is open to individuals between the ages of 21 and 33 on 1 January 2010. Candidates may apply regardless of their home country or current residence.
The young people selected will participate in the 61st International Astronautical Congress (IAC) scheduled to take place in Prague, Czech Republic from 27 September to 1 October 2010. The individuals selected will also be given the opportunity to participate in other activities held just before and during the Congress.

Our Spring Meetings take place in Paris over four days starting on 22 March.
The STSC meeting of COPUOS will be held in Vienna from 8 February 2010 onwards. This is followed in June by the 53rd session of UN-COPOUS itself.
The International Space University will host “The Public Face of Space” in Strasbourg, France on 16 February.
The Federation will be strongly represented at ILA 2010, the Berlin Air Show commencing on June 8th.

From 1-3 November 2010, the 6th International Workshop on Satellite Constellation and Formation Flying (IWSCFF 2010) takes place in Taipei, Taiwan. It is part of a a series of specialist events organised by the IAF Astrodynamics Committee.
