Shameless Political Ad Below (with voting instructions!)
This year, I was asked to run for Second Vice President of the
International Association of Emergency Managers and wanted to ask for
your support. While I’m not the most PC of guys, I am smart and
effective and a workaholic. I want to make emergency management a
profession and build some walls so that your next county EM is NOT the
retired ex-chief of police with no EM experience.

My goals are focused on improving the lives of local and county
emergency managers, and to do this I intend to:
-Perform a comprehensive, national annual salary survey;
-Adopting in-depth Emergency Management Competencies so we have a
single set of national standards for the profession;
-Developing an "I am Emergency Management" credit card affiliate
program, so that we can promote emergency management with every
purchase we make and develop a revenue stream in order to...
-Refocus lobbying efforts on state legislation to make emergency
management a licensed profession, with AEM and CEM as the
certifications and IAEM as the professional licensing body.

You can see my candidate statement (http://www.iaem.com/about/
ScotPhelps2010Candidate.htm).

I’m asking you take a minute to vote right now.
Thanks, Soct

Scot,

I swear that there is no reference to the voting site. I followed your
instructions and searched for USAVote2010.htm. Nothing. Logged in and was
granted access to members only area.
So is the voting limited to CEM's only????

I think this looks great.  Guess I had better ask for a raise.
Thanks for letting us know it can be printed.  I am trying to get a few other hospital people involved with IAEM & getting their CEM

Make sure you’re opening the latest version “IAEM HC Caucus Brochure 9-10”.  It should open into a word document from which you should be able to print.  I just double checked that it should open ion older version of MS Word.  I am using Office 2007.

Thank you.
I will have to play with this.  I have Office 2007 as well, but it opens to a page labled. "Microsoft word web app".  Never have seen this before.  I just got 2007 so who know.  I do like the new logo.

 I like the new logo but am not familiar with the symbolization.  Would you explain the symbol's message?

It combines the old civil defense triangle with the hospital  “H” which we have interpreted to here to mean ‘Healthcare” thus combining the healthcare arena with an old school disaster preparedness and response symbol…  Scot came up with it so I’ll let him put in his $.02…
