 TFAH seeks to hire a Health Policy Researcher and Analyst to work on a project that will assess and report on states’ preparedness for preventing and responding to the public health impacts of climate change. The project was created out of a conviction that climate change is a public health threat that demands greater attention and urgent action. The incumbent will assist with—and sometimes take the lead on—exploratory research, expert interviews, and literature review; organization of an advisory group; state data collection and organization; data analysis; quality control; and report writing. Full description.

 NEW: 2020 American Society for Microbiology Biothreats Program: The 2020 ASM Biothreats meeting, January 28–30, 2020 in Arlington, Virginia, will focus on what’s new in high consequence pathogen research. ASM is seeking experts in academia, industry and government to present and discuss the latest developments in this emerging field.  WHO launches global consultations for a new Roadmap on neglected tropical diseases.
