Michael,
There is no way to directly build a parameter name to then be assigned to a display or object like that. Generally what is common is to have unique display objects with the Parameter already assigned to each and set the Visible property to reflect the desired state.
An alternative would be to make a derived parameter with a complex inline Choose() function where the index would be the desired parameter from your selector and the choice would be the intended parameter value to display in the display object.
