I will be watching data that is not centered on zero. For instance I
will be watching Mach number during a condition. For instance I would
set up the strip chart to go from 0.715 to 725 (centered on 0.720) for
a condition nominally to be flown at 0.72. If the airplane starts to
drift off of the Mach number too far I would like to be able to re-
center the strip chart while maintaining the 0.01 Mach range. The way
I understand it if I just hit “A” to auto scale the system may or may
not retain the 0.01 range.

Hi Frank,
Would a scale "translation" work better, or do you still wish to adjust the scale factor? Try clicking on the "<" or the ">" buttons in the StripChart and see if that's more of what you were thinking...
