Hi IADS team,

I am reading IADS Help System (ladsHelp.chm file), version 9.2.8 2024
I found a section "IADS Command Line Options", it has info for options such as
  • /noPreloadAws
  • /server
  • etc.
However, it is missing
  • /nopreloadVB
  • /noMessageFlash
which I saw some folks using them and they are also mentioned in some posts in this Google Group.

I am wondering are these two paramters got removed from new version Iads.exe?

Thanks
Hongbo

Hello Hongbo,

IADS software as evolved over nearly 30 years.  There are likely many items of out-dated information available in this google group.  The items /noPreloadVB is no longer relevant. /noMessageFlash is still relevant - the purpose for this argument would be to disable the flashing of the message log button on the IADS dashboard.

Is there something which you are trying to accomplish which we can help you with?

Oh I am just learning. Thank you! I can confirm /noMessageFlash works well when I run
"C:\Program Files\IADS\ClientWorkstation\Iads.exe" /rtstation /noMessageFlash
It will disable "Message Log" button flashing when IADS runs.

I assume the IADS Help System (ladsHelp.chm file), version 9.2.8 2024, is just missing the /noMessageFlash option. I expect it will be included in a future update to the documentation (?)

Thanks
Hongbo
