Does the IADS server support RDMA in any manner? We would like to avoid the processor overhead involved with streaming 40K+ parameters via TCP to the server.

Tramone,

The majority of the processing demand of the IADS Applications is in the decommutation, parameterization, processing, distribution and archiving of the incoming data after it has already been received from the network interface. Utilizing an RDMA enabled network adapter and supporting OS will have little impact on the overall system performance from an IADS Application perspective. It’s common for IADS to handle more than 65k parameters at 5 mega-samples of incoming data over a standard 1Gb network connection.
For our IADS hardware servers we perform at least four hour burn-in tests utilizing our CDSStress data simulation program https://www.curtisswrightds.com/system/files/2023-10/CdsStress.zip running 65k parameters @ 5.1 mega-samples to verify system performance. The most common hardware configuration uses an ASUS motherboard with onboard 2.5/10GB NICs that do not support RDMA. It’s our recommendation to configure hardware intended to run IADS Server software with a CPU of at least six physical cores with a base clock speed of 3.6Ghz or greater. Ideally having a Turbo clock speed of 4.8Ghz or greater is an advantage especially for systems that run RTStation, which includes both the IADS Server software(s) and the IADS Client software running at the same time on the same system.

Thank you,
