There's a new tool inside of IADS starting version 4.X:
1) On the Dashboard, click Configuration
2) Look under the "File->Export" and "File->Import" drop down menus.
3) You can either Export or Import entire Desktops or single
AnalysisWindows to a file
4) The user can then carry an exported file to another location and
import their entire desktop setup including displays, parameter
definitions, envelope definitions, dataGroups, etc... Everything needed
to get going except for the actual flight data.
If you want to "merge" the configuration for a number of users and
start from a completely clean config:
1) Have everyone "Export" their desktops, then bring/email you the
export files.
2) Create a "Blank" config by running the PostTestDataServer and
selecting File->New
3) Uncheck the "include some example parameters/displays" check box at
the top of the browse dialog
4) Connect to this Blank config with an IADS client and go to the
ConfigurationTool and do a "File->Import->Desktop" on each desktop
export file (*.iadsDt).
Otherwise from an existing config file:
1) Connect to the config with an IADS client
2) Have the users export their desktops and send you the files
3) Import them using the config tool
4) You can overwrite existing Desktops/AnalysisWindows for update
purposes.
In version 5.0, you can select multiple import files at once. For now,
you'll have to select one file at a time... Sorry
As far as this info not being in the Help file, I've added a request to
our database to make sure this gets done ;)

Our test program requires us to baseline our engine very often and
perform this test to validate the engine condition.
It would be nice to do it in IADS instead of exporting a CSV to be
processed in DIAdem.

We need to run data through it to work out all the unknowns, but it seems
like a simple concept to me ;)
