Dear all,
I created a moving map display based on JPG File but I cant share this Analysis Window through the IADS Real-Time Clients (its working only locally on my PC).

Under Moving Map Properties - Alphabetic Tab - Im selecting the folder locally on My PC through VFR_FileNameAndPath

Is it possible to save this file on IADS Console PC to share this Analysis Window to all clients or have this file incorporated to the IADS Config File?

Thank you,
Anderson de Souza

Anderson,
The file defined by the VFR_FileNameAndPath must be installed in a location that all systems have access to or otherwise it would need to be installed on every system. IADS creates a group share folder on the system running the IADS Server called RT_SHARE, but you may need to speak with your IT department about establishing a share folder for MAP files if RT_SHARE is not already available.

Thank you,

Hello Anderson,

A common practice for this scenario is to load an image from a universal network location using a UNC path.  For example \\SomeServerName\SomeSharePoint\MyVFRMapFile.jpg If there isn’t a universally available path for you between your desktop and control rooms, then a good option might be to use a common mapped drive name. For example M:\Maps\MyVFRMapFile.jpg.  Ultimate the M drive could be a different network location and you would need to have some mechanism to transfer the files.

There is also an automatic option for finding file resources in real time client/server environments.  If a client attempts to load a file and it fails to find the file, the Client application will attempt to find the filename at \\NameOfRealTimeServer\RT_SHARE\INPUT This path will be searched recursively until the first instance of the file name is found.
