The IadsDataInterfaces.dll is the public interface for third party tools, like Python or custom code, to get data from an IADS Data Archive or IADS Server similar to how the IADS Server and Client communicate.
Specifically the iadsread call can either point to a directory or server$portId as its initial ‘source’ argument. Using server$portId will allow the interface to connect to a real-time IADS server and query data for any number of parameters. It’s to be noted
that it acts just like any other IADS Client and is subject to the same connection licensing rules for the IADS Server it’s connecting to.
