NIADA Policy Conference - Sept. 24-26

Hello State Directors,
I hope to see everyone next month in DC at the NIADA National Policy Conference. This is one of three important annual NIADA events where state directors and board leadership can get together, share ideas and learn from one another. Every director needs to plan on being there, and please make sure that your board leadership knows about this event, and is attending as well. NIADA National Policy Conference
Your AEC Chair, Wendy Rinehart and I are working on the group meeting agenda for our Monday afternoon meeting. We will make sure to get that out to you prior to the DC event. We need to know how many board members you are bringing, and their names. They are all welcome to attend the State Officers President’s Council meeting on Monday.
On Tuesday, we will hear from informed speakers who will provide us with regulatory updates and will be talking about the current legislative landscape. On Wednesday, you will get the chance to meet with your Senators and House Representatives at the Capital, who represent your state. These legislators want to meet you and your board members. I cannot stress to you how important this is.
Please let me know if you feel that you won’t be able to participate in this event. Call me and let’s talk.
Within the next week, I will personally be reaching out to each of you by phone. I want to learn what’s going on in your world. It’s important that you know that I am here for you. Your success as an Executive Director or CEO, and the success of your state association is my priority. For many of the states, there is significant membership growth opportunity. We will be working together very soon to discuss possible strategies that should pave the way for your state association to grow its membership.
