Hi
I agree with Trez. Our government has let us down. The rich of our
country have let us down. They got greedy. They took money away from
the middle and lower class. The middle and lower class just wanted to
make ends meet. The greedy wanted a 7 million dollar penthouse in New
York. Our government should have learned from the great depression
that greedy people destroy economies. I know we complain that the
government control causes big time paperwork, and that economies need
to be left to manage themselves. All well and good, but when greed
enters the picture, the good book does not say, let the good people be
chumps. Here in Iowa we have two good Senators. Let them know that
the only way out of this mess, and the only way to the future is to
police the greedy. It is not only Wall St. that is greedy. It is the
big oil companies that take money out of the U.S. (Some say well
drill in the U.S. It is not the U.S. that gets the money. When was
the last time you got a check from BP? from Shell? from ... These
companies sell to whomever they want. They get the oil from wherever
they drill. The people that say let them drill on our land are
helping these money guzzeling giants. 2/3 of the oil from the gulf is
going to China while we are buying most of our oil from Saudi Arabia.
Does this make sense? Our own government representatives show greed.
Lately our own President can not find people to fill vacancies in the
government that have not cheated on their taxes. To my knowledge, I
have not cheated even a penny in all my years of paying taxes. I know
that it is not right for a man to steal. I do have empathy for the
man that holds up a gas station because he has run out of options to
feed his family. I have no empathy for the Madoffs with their Ponzi
schemes when they get caught, right away appeal to the court because
he had to stay 4 days in jail. Wants to make a deal with the
government to let his wife have the 7 million apartment and 64 million
dollars. I know we have come a long way, but 100 years ago we would
have tied him up by his ba..s and left him to die. The Hebrews would
have stoned him. We have to stop greed, the bible tells us so.,
