I met Ranji this weekend and told him of your wish to be included in the trip to Jasper, Texas to deliver the Food etc. like you did last year representing IACF

He said that would be great suggested you contact him directly to work out the date, logistics etc. I am copying him in on this email so you can email each other etc. If any others from IACF like David Raj etc want to come I’m sure they will be most welcome.

Bro. Ram received a poignant message from Mrs. Karen and Mr. Dalton Taylor who manage the Roganville pantry in the Jasper area that they are coerced to shut down for Christmas and the the holidays due to acute paucity in food supplies. Typically, their pantry supplies are taken care by the South Texas Food Bank and augmented by the efforts of Region 10 and the Sai Centers of Houston (like we did on Dec 8, 2012 to commemorate Swami's 87th birthday).

 

But due to the dwindling supplies that is rife in all the food banks in the Jasper area, the supplies they receive(d) from the food bank and us are NOT sufficent to cater to the families they usually assist during the holidays.

 

As always, we will pool all the donations we collect and purchase the direly required food items from a wholesale store in Houston. We would like to make a conscientious effort to transport these supplies to the pantry before Christmas.

 

 

I would like to point out that this is NOT a center sponsored drive and if you would like to assist, please email me or call me directly ASAP.
