Fundraising Committee Call, Friday, February 10, 2012

 

Staci, Jennifer:  Health GAP; Amanda, African Services Committee; Tom, HIV Health; Nadine, March Coordinator

 

I.               Overview of where we are:  Money raised from MAC, Sparkplug & John M. Lloyd Foundations.  Hired a coordinator.  Most of the money is going to pay for buses, outreach materials, perhaps the staging, etc.

II.             Fundraising from Organizations

a.     Large ASO Town Hall meeting:  Christine is reaching out to NAPWA to co-convene.  Via Webinar

III.           Individual fundraising:

a.     Fundraising committee will produce materials targeted to rich people and celebs that people know and will attend meetings with you.

b.     Indie-gogo.  3 stages, ready to go.  VOCAL is handling

IV.            Foundations

a.     Amanda will approach Astraea Director and ask her to co-convene (perhaps with QEJ) a briefing for LGBT funders about the IAC

a.     Invite:

1.     Gill Foundation

2.     Astraea

3.     Arkus

4.     Paul Rapoport (if they are still around)

b.     Staci will ask is Sparkplug will convene a briefing about the IAC for funders.

5.     Ford

6.     OSF

Target date for funder briefing is mid March
