-consensus thus far-steering committee is VOCAL-NY, HW, Health GAP, ASC, AFC, HRC. Idea to have a big march, with lead up/follow up actions.
-Top 3 priorities next steps
-Outreach
-Fundraising-committee was challenged by framing and also by an idea to reach out to larger AIDS service organizations
-Messaging
-some large AIDS service organizations in U.S. won’t lead but will support (AIDS United).
Goals of march
-Wants to put fear in the hearts of Obama admin.
-Wants to see an event using a human rights framework.
-Thoughts about having more decentralized actions throughout year to lead up.
-We need to go to White House now and threaten them with the march on behalf of civil society.
-Global Day of Actions (actions in local places).
