Why the anti-corruption fight?
Once Mahatma Gandhi said “India has enough resource to fulfill everyone’s need but it can’t fulfill one person’s greed”. This statement is never so true and real than as it is today. The greediness of our political, bureaucratic class has made the life of common man hell in this country. Today we have greedy political & bureaucratic system dip in corruption & looting the national treasure, the time has come we the people needs to come down to the street, against CORRUPTION and make things correct. As we all aware a 72 year Gandhian old man Sri Anna Hazare is fighting against corruption for a strong anti corruption law “JANLOKPAL”, we the people of India needs to extend our support for the cause. This is a battle for our survival, this is a battle for a better future for our next generation, this is battle that needs to be fought to cleanse our corrupt, rotten political system. These people should be made to realize that people of this country no longer helplessly keep paying bribe from Birth (certificate) to Death (certificate).
Our government which is neck dip in corruption has made our hard earned democracy a farce by introducing a toothless LOKPAL bill, which actually encourages corrupt and penalize those who dare to raise their voicet. Government neither has the will nor the courage to bring in a strong anti corruption law (JANLOKPAL) as proposed by Sri Anna Hazare and team. The Government has made its intention clear…very clear. “WE ARE BY THE CORRUPT, FOR THE CORRUPT AND OF THE CORRUPT”.
ENOUGH is ENOUGH.
What we are doing?
As a first step, while creating public awareness on JANLOKPAL Bill, we have gathered number of NGOs and formed one group, India Against Corruption - Hyderabad Chapter. As one group, we are organizing Relay Hunger Strike@Hyderabad starting 16th Aug, in support of Anna Hazare, who would be fasting in Delhi.
Friends, lets spare some time starting August 16 for a cause, for a better tomorrow. The venue and program details are given below. Please spread the message and join us in large numbers to force the government hear our voice, and pass the JANLOKPAL bill, which will make every government employee from a Chaprasi to PM, real public servant!
Why we are doing this?
You may be aware that Government has approved to table the Lokpal bill (Government version) in Parliament during this monsoon season. Lots of people may be wondering why Anna is fasting even after Government has decided to pass Lokpal. If you have understood the differences between two versions of bill and ff you have followed the developments in last few months, you can understand clearly the seriousness and commitment of Government to fight CORRUPTION. Our memories are short and hence trying to remind you of few incidents
1. Mid night brutal lati charge on peaceful demonstrators led by RamDev Baba. Incident is described by our ELDERS as “. Jaliawal Bagh like incident in independent history of India”. CRIME was to demand to get Black Money.
2. Doctored CD to defame Bhushan’s who are fighting for strong and effective ‘Jan Lokpal Bill’
3. Attempt to paint COMMUNAL colour to this agitation against CORRUPTION
These incidents just reflect the tip of iceberg of the MALAFIDE intentions of Government. These few incidents are good enough to judge seriousness of Govt to deal with CORRUPTION. You all may know that Anna Hazare has decided to fast from 16th Aug. We realize that this is very critical phase of our fight against CORRUPTION. It is like NOW or Never. Going by recent incidents, every attempt will be made to DIVERT the Movement, if people don’t PARTICIPATE. Anna Hazare is fighting for us and it is our DUTY to support HIM.
We have an opportunity to change this country. Just 3 steps to curb menace of CORRUPTION. If we miss this opportunity, we will miss it for next 20-30 year. This is our second Independent movement, independence from CORRUPTION.
