Broad-winged bonanza at Grammer Grove hawk watch today

Mark Proescholdt and I had non-stop kettles of BROAD-WINGED HAWKS from about 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Grammer Grove hawk watch in Marshall County. When I left at 2:30, the total was around 900 Broad-wingeds. Mark may have more by the end of the day.

We had only a few other raptors moving, with the most notable being a PEREGRINE FALCON and a RED-SHOULDERED HAWK. Broad-wingeds were definitely the stars of the show today.
