For those interested in viewing the Avocets and try for the Whimbrel at South Twin Lake, Calhoun Co. here is a google map I marked. We're looking at RAW photos of the Whimbel yet for final verification. It's a long way out there so a scope or 80X+ camera are needed.
One of the 7 Avocets on the little island was very broody and sitting with wings splayed. Then I had a photo on the small island of what could be a larger chick I'll get checked out.
There were several Black Terns, a variety of ducks, pelicans, peeps and some other shorebirds.
