Painted Bunting in Sioux City

Calvin Langschwager of Sioux City who has been a long time  fisherman from my WillCFish channel on YouTube, bird watcher and friend on Facebook sent me a picture of a Painted Bunting that he caught on his Bird Buddy photo feeder just before a thunderstorm rolled in this morning and it hasn't been back. Calvin said he has new puppies and the dogs are pretty territorial in the yard and too far away to be seen from the road. That said if it returns he will let me know and get the dogs put away if birders want to come see it. 

I cropped the picture a lot so it would attach.

I told Calvin there may be birders that would like to look for the Painted Bunting around the area he lives and also I'd been asked to report it for IOU Records. He said he is close to West Highschool. I know if I were closer the chase would be on. 😁
