Made the trip to the location today, arrived at 7:45am. The location is definitely a burrow for another animal that has been taken over. Fresh dung decorations are visible near the mouth of the burrow. Winds have been howling out of the NNE since I arrived, so I have not caught a glimpse of the owl yet. There are 4 other possible burrows in the 1 square mile area to the south and west of the pinned location, but none had any owls visible. The whole section of land south and west is sandy grasslands, and is good habitat for the species. I would not be surprised to hear and see more sightings in this area.
